This position has
functional responsibilities for compliance related projects, plan design for both qualified and non-qualified plans, and assisting sales through plan design and participating in sales presentations and meetings.
In This Role You
Work on recurring and non-recurring compliance related projects including initial client contact, preparation of retainer letters and service agreements, actual project work, tracking, keeping management updated on progress and
These projects include but are not limited to plan corrections using Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (EPCRS) self-correction, Voluntary Compliance Program (VCP), Delinquent Filer Voluntary Correction (DFVC) for late 5500
filings, VFCP for late deferral deposits and other fiduciary issues, IRS, DOL and PBGC audits, plan document restatements, IRS Favorable Determination Letter submissions, health and welfare documents and service agreement issues.

Partner with Sales and New Business to provide knowledge and expertise in plan design, and assisting in the sales process and onboarding of new clients.
Ad hoc projects as needed.

Excellence You Deliver:
Demonstrate and maintain in-depth knowledge of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code and related regulations concerning retirement plans and health and welfare plans.
Prepare plan document
restatements and amendments on document system and review for retirement plans and health and welfare plans.
Prepare IRS-required forms for Favorable Determination Letter filings.
Prepare IRS Voluntary Correction Program (VCP)
filings for document and operational issues.
Respond to questions concerning 401(k), 403(b), 457(b), non-qualified and health and welfare plans.
Provide knowledge of discrimination testing rules as they relate to controlled groups
and Multiple Employer plans.
Prioritize multiple tasks, work with limited supervision and escalate issues appropriately.
Timely prepare or review periodic annual notices for plan sponsors.
Some travel may be required. This
position is not eligible to be worked remotely except in emergency situations and with prior approval from the supervisor.
The Expertise We’re Looking For:
5 to 7 years of experience with plan documents
A passion for problem solving and providing knowledge
Excellent Communication Skills – Being able to respond and exchange ideas clearly, tactfully and effectively through writing, speaking, and presentations; shares appropriate
information to keep people informed; is seen as approachable.
Experience with Relius document system and SunGard Volume Submitter document preferred.
ASPPA Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) or higher credential preferred.
BA/BS degree preferred.
