A rapidly growing Center City, Philadelphia 401(k) record keeping company is seeking an experienced Distributions Manager to fulfill an opening in their Operations department. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter interested in
utilizing accounting, technical and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment in a diversified position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the daily distribution processes including:
distributions including terminations, hardships, loans, RMD’s, etc.
Stop pay and reissues for checks already sent
Process and payout fees
Ensure corrective distributions are processed timely and correctly
Training of distribution staff on processes to ensure everyone is working the same way.
Make sure that QC’s are in place to prevent errors from occurring or being repeated. Ensure that processes are being properly followed by the
Manage the quarterly processes for the department which includes RMDs, Auto Rollovers, Small Balance Clears, and 402g Excesses.
Manage the daily reports for the department to ensure all distributions and loans are
being processed timely and accurately
Assist with client requests involving errors in processing, 1099 corrections, new distribution requests, etc.
Answer participant questions regarding their distributions that have been requested and
follow up with participants for additional information that is needed to process their requests.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Bachelor degree strongly preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a manager
preferably in a corporate environment.
Strong ability to use MS Office packages, including MS Word and specifically Excel. Ability to manipulate large data sets using excel tools.
General system experience – preferably Relius and/or
Strong communication skills along with the ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
