Retirement Plans Manager

Overview:  The primary emphasis of Retirement Plans Manager is to manage the 401(k) department.  This position plays a major role in the output of the organization by ensuring plan compliance with ERISA regulations.

Business Contributions:  The output generated by the Retirement Plans Manager is to ensure our plans are competitive, compliant with applicable laws and financially sound.  Three major business contributions the Retirement & Savings Acct. Mgr. to Oasis Outsourcing are:

  • Ensures that all testing, test corrections, tax filing, funding, required employer/employee communication and all other plan requirements are completed by deadlines
  • Manages assets and deposit funding
  • Coordinates annual audit

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates all legal issues and ensures compliance with TPA, legal counsel and trustees
  • Coordinates quarterly Investment Committee Meetings
  • Client consultation and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable 401(k) rules and regulations
  • Negotiate all fees, contracts and service agreements
  • Resolves escalated client issues; manage service deliverables
  • Other duties and/or special projects as assigned
  • Assist auditor with all items for 5500 filing
  • Ensure timeliness with respect to 5500 filing, testing and corrections,
  • Develops, documents and implements all departmental processes
  • Staff management and development
  • Creates training and education for staff

Experience

  • Five to seven years of 401(k) plan administration and management experience
  • Working knowledge of applicable laws pertaining to 401(k)
  • Multiple Employer Plan experience a plus

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A., B.S) from a four year college or university preferred or equivalent experience
