ESOP Account Executive

Principal Financial Group

in Des Moines, IA


Serve as primary point of contact for Client Service Associates or Managers for existing ESOP administration clients to address strategic issues and identify consulting opportunities.

  • Build strong relationships to retain assigned clients.
  • Coordinate with Account Executive (AE)/Relationship Manager (RM) for other RIS offerings to provide a consistent experience for existing clients.
  • Provide proactive touches to the market segments that are informational and sales-oriented.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required and 3+ years related experience.
  • Technical, statutory and regulatory knowledge of qualified and nonqualified plans.
  • ESOP experience preferred or ability to develop and maintain ESOP knowledge.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Travel required (up to 25%), including overnight stays.
