A leading Pittsburgh area firm has an opening for an actuarial analyst who will participate in a team
that provides actuarial, administrative and consulting services directly to the firm’s defined benefit pension plan clients.
You will work as part of a client team to deliver high quality timely actuarial consulting services in a supportive
environment. This role is a great opportunity for a strong actuarial analyst with good communications skills to add value to a well-established firm while continuing to develop their technical knowledge and consulting abilities.
Minimum of 4 years working in the retirement actuarial consulting profession.
Experience with Relius Administration and Relius Government Forms.
Foundational knowledge of actuarial principles, including
retirement funding, government reporting and non-discrimination rules.
Strong ability to work with multiple client deadlines.
Capable of taking ownership over managing multiple clients and their deadlines.
Ability to communicate
work product and provide support to clients though phone calls and emails.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparing actuarial valuation, including data reconciliation, asset balancing and calculation of actuarial
Drafting IRS/PBGC filings and assisting clients in the online submission process.
Preparing and reviewing benefit calculations and statements.
Performing annual non-discrimination testing for plans and summarizing
results for the client.
Manage client deadlines and communicating directly with clients regarding deliverables.
