The Relationship Manager (RM) will manage assigned non-qualified retirement services client accounts and relationships. This includes communications, installation,
administration, problem identification and resolution, and reporting to meet contractual requirements and the client expectations. The RM will build on their service reputation and relationships to position Newport Group as the clients’ provider of
choice for additional products and services.
The RM will develop and maintain relationships with plan sponsors and human resources contacts of assigned new and existing client organizations to become their provider for information and resources
related to their retirement plans. The RM will ensure the provision of retirement services expected, identify and resolve areas of confusion or problems, and to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, as well as responsible for verifying accuracy
and completeness of initial documentation and materials provided to clients and resolve related issues.
The successful applicant will have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
S/he will possess a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience working in the retirement industry with 3-5 years in a related relationship management position with demonstrated relationship building experience.
The candidate must also have strong
analytical skills, good written and oral communication skills, as interaction with clients, the team and other areas of the firm is critical to success.
The candidate must have effective time management and organization skills as s/he will work in
a fast-paced, demanding environment and will be a “self-starter” working often under tight deadlines.
