Salary range: $58,900 - $79,700/year depending on qualifications and experience
position may be filled at 2 different experience levels. The senior level is eligible for a target bonus of 5%.
What you would do in this job:
Analyze and interpret existing, new and proposed qualified retirement
plan regulation, legislation and other guidance and litigation impacting qualified plans.
Research and interpret laws and regulations and consult with key constituents to assure plan and Securian Retirement compliance.
Serve as consultant
and subject matter expert to clients, Field and related distribution, and Home Office associates regarding compliance related issues affecting current or new qualified retirement plans. This includes divisional projects, committees and other
Provide insights to Home Office associates, Field and related distribution, and current or prospective clients on technical issues and regulatory requirements involving qualified plans as well as complex plan design options.
Enhance marketing, sales and retention efforts by advancing alternative approaches based on knowledge of applicable law and regulation.
Develop and provide communication and training sessions on various legislative, regulatory, and litigation
issues to clients, Field and related distribution, and Home Office associates. This also includes providing qualified plan related training for new associates and ongoing training on topics of interest identified by Plan Sponsor Servicing.
in the creation and distribution of educational pieces designed to address technical issues of import.
Negotiate with IRS, DOL and other governmental officials on behalf of clients and Securian Retirement to resolve differing interpretations of
qualified retirement plan laws, regulations, and/or ML prototype document language.
Interpret and draft plan documents and other related legal documents. Also assist in maintaining ML preapproved documents and completing periodic plan restatement

Ability to develop professional written and oral presentations. Also demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate and build strong relationships with general partners,
intermediaries, internal stakeholders at various levels and external clients and partnerships.
Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced service environment, with high degree of
flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in an ever-changing environment.
Preferred skills for this job:
In depth knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply all law and related regulations affecting
retirement products and qualified plans.
Ability to travel as required for new business opportunities as well as periodic client presentations.
