Responsible for design, implementation and administration of cost effective and
regulatory compliant retirement plans, programs and policies which support organizational strategies and practices. Provides on-going consultation and develops processes and tools which facilitate the design, administration and management of strategic,
compliant and effective plans and programs. Negotiate benefit coverage, services and costs with carriers and consultants/brokers. Activities may include the following as well as others:
Consult with company leaders and Retirement
Services Manager; recommend plan design changes and programs that support business strategies.
Participate in special projects by providing technical and operational expertise.
Manage vendors, consultants and other third party
administrators so as to maintain high levels of service and focus on process improvements that reduce cost, gain efficiency and improve participant service level.
Operate as liaison between the company and pension system vendor; manage
data and work with system vendor to implement programming updates.
Develop and review employee communication materials including legally required notices (SARs, SMMs, and plan amendments).
Prepare and review pension benefit
calculations for cash balance pension and nonqualified restoration plans.
Review and approve pension and restoration plan distributions and payment directives.
Participate in the 401(k) Plan administration; manage external vendor.
Coordinate and lead retirement plan audits with internal and external auditors, DOL, etc.
Resolve and respond to complex retirement plan issues
Support Retirement analyst and respond to inquiries from employees, beneficiaries, and
Work with internal partners to ensure accurate and timely response to employee and plan issues.
Defined benefit (cash balance) and defined contribution pension administration experience
knowledge of all applicable benefit regulations ERISA/IRS
Possess intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience using Workday, ADP, Fidelity software a plus
Large data file
Outstanding customer service skills; effective communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to meet deadlines, strong attention to details, ability to self-check work
Ability to work
effectively in a high volume environment subject to changing priorities and short deadlines
Enthusiastic attitude cooperative team player adaptable to new or changing circumstances sensitive to customer (employees, plan participants, beneficiaries

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree (finance, math, business, human resources or a related field) and 6-9 years of experience managing
