Batch Analyst

IUPAT Industry Pension Fund

The Batch Analyst serves as the central keypuncher for the Contributions Department. The position is responsible for entering payment remittances for pension, annuity, and related fund contributions. Additionally, the position is accountable to verify hours, report and research discrepancies, and support the Contributions Department in related tasks.


  • Conduct data entry of reported hours and payments from employer remittances.
  • Verify hours to be entered (punched) for previously prepared batches received from the Fund's custodial bank.
  • Report and research discrepancies in employer reports including shortages and overages.
  • Submit completed batches for proper filing.
  • Provide support as needed to optimize the productivity and efficiency of the Contributions Department.
  • Complete special projects as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Skilled in the use of personal computers and general office software products.
  • Data entry skills.

  • Excellent time management, organization, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
  • Display discretion and maintain confidentiality of information both internally and externally.

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience including one (1) to three (3) years of administrative experience in accounting or finance (Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance is a plus).
  • General understanding of standard accounting principles.
  • Experience within the pension industry preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of contractual agreements a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Web Browser, and Email skills.
  • Union experience preferred but not required.


  • Normal office environment.
  • Lifting of light boxes may be required in the course of organizing and/or distributing work.
  • Overtime may be required to meet deadlines.
  • Use of the computer for approximately 90 percent of the day.
  • Forty (40) hours constitutes the regular work week. The work day consists of eight (8) hours from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. with a half an hour (½) unpaid lunch break. The office is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Business professional dress code.
