Hessel & Associates (H&A) is looking for a Retirement Plan Administrator who will effectively and efficiently administer defined contribution plans according to the current laws and regulations while managing
all aspects of the client experience. The Retirement Plan Administrator will develop and maintain consultative and educational relationships with plan sponsors and their accountants, advisors and HR reps.
The qualified candidate will
possess a minimum of 3-5 years experience in administration with defined contribution plans, is proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
Experience with defined benefit plans, Relius and PensionPro a plus.
The Retirement Plan Administrator will be responsible for:
Reviewing plan sponsor census and determining eligibility, vesting and Key Employee/Highly Compensated
Calculating and allocating employer contributions per the plan’s formula and nondiscrimination rules
Calculating and verifying required deferral refunds per failed ADP test, if applicable
Reconciling plan assets and verifying timely contribution deposits
Completing and reviewing for accuracy all nondiscrimination testing, including ADP/ACP, 410(b), 401(a)(4) and Top Heavy testing
with client, accountant, attorney and investment advisor
Preparation of Form 5500 and related schedules
Preparation of loan documents
Preparation of distribution forms
annual report including benefit statements
Review and interpret plan documents
