Under administrative direction, the Manager serves as a leader and resource to IRA and Retirement Plan Marketing Specialists and Financial Advisors (FAs) regarding overall business retirement plan issues, and
marketing of IRAs and plans to FAs. The Manager position requires extensive contact with internal (FAs) and external customers to provide retirement plan consultative services as well as coordination with personnel in various other Stifel
departments. Projects are of broad scope and complexity with direct oversight of Department staff. Resolves and recommends solutions to complex problems.
Leads the IRA and Retirement Plan
Specialists’ day to day work including, project planning and presentations.
Contributes ideas and other applicable input or observations toward enhancing the marketability or overall sales of retirement products as well as the operation and
productivity of the Retirement Plan Services Dept.
Mentors and trains Department IRA and Retirement Plan Marketing Specialists.
Conducts due diligence review of product offerings.
Conducts conference calls, point-of-sale
presentations, enrollment meetings and branch meetings as needed with internal and external clients in order to inform of product options, address technical or product issues, and generate sales of retirement plans.
Reviews weekly Investment Alert
articles and quarterly newsletter articles.
Participates in Stifel and vendor sponsored conferences, as well as training of FAs.
Oversees the creation of marketing materials for FA and/or client use.
Stays abreast of the
continuous changes in IRA and ERISA regulations.
Other duties/projects as necessary.
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in retirement
Must have ASPPA or other ERISA related certifications.
Series 7, 63 and 24 or ability to obtain in 1 year.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge of principles and methods for showing,
promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.

High level of knowledge of ERISA & IRA and qualified plans regulation and administration.

Some travel by car and/or air in conjunction with local,
regional and/or national travel, up to 20%.
