Retirement Plan Services Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general direction of the Retirement Plan Services Director, the Project Manager (PM) will assess, organize and implement steps to complete various projects throughout the department.  The PM will be responsible for managing projects and the resources necessary (internal and external), as well as their timely completion and evaluation with the objective of supporting the Retirement Plan Services Department to improve efficiencies, compliance and effectiveness.  

MAJOR DUTIES

  • When required, work closely with Retirement Plan Services Coordinator and personnel of other departments.
  • Assess, plan, develop and execution projects as well as communication them to the FAs and other business units as applicable
  • Ensure projects are managed to schedule, within budget and support business stakeholder expectations.
  • Track project progress.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
  • Communicate project status, risks, issues and recommended solutions to Manager and business stakeholders.
  • Determine the resources (time, money, people, etc.) required to complete the project
  • Facilitate and lead project team meetings.
  • Responsible for making high level decisions with respect to projects and other work-related items.
  • Manage and implements department projects of various sizes.
  • Concurrently manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in retirement plan services., 5 years experience in project management a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, maturity, intellectual curiosity, initiative and good judgment; takes pride of ownership for wins and accountability for losses/mistakes.
  • Dedicated to accomplishing goals; willing to take on additional responsibilities to produce outstanding work; strives for excellence; maintains a positive attitude through stressful situations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and project management.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  •  Accurately prepares oral and written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective and professional.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with retirement plans.
  • Identifies trends and dynamics and acts on them; anticipates emerging needs and opportunities; assesses risks and rewards of alternative actions.
  • Some travel by car and/or air in conjunction with local, regional and/or national travel, up to 20%.
  • Concurrently manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
