Hooker & Holcombe Inc., New England’s premier regional retirement consulting firm with 65 plus employees. The Retirement Services unit has an immediate opening for a Client Services Associate with a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
in the retirement plan industry. This position is based in our West Hartford office.
The Client Services Associate is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day administration of the defined
contribution plans in the Retirement Services unit. Specifically, this position will directly support the Client Service Specialist staff with daily transaction processing, new client onboarding and client/participant research, as well as annual
government filing and disclosure mailing projects.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Demonstrates knowledge of pension issues related to plan processing;
Assists with daily transactions, including
contributions, distributions, loans, monthly payments and responds to client enquiries for various retirement plans;
Assists with new client onboarding and setup
Acts as support for peers who are contact to client for routine
Demonstrates good accounting skills for balancing assets;
Demonstrates knowledge of investments and related transactions;
Assists with researching client and/or participant
Education and Experience
BA/BS degree required or equivalent work experience within the retirement plan industry
Knowledge of/experience with recordkeeping systems (specifically Schwab RT) is a plus.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of ERISA regulations for DB and DC plans.
Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.
