Lead the design, management and communication of AutoNation’s retirement programs including
defined contribution (401(k)) and non-qualified deferred compensation plans while ensuring regulatory and plan compliance. Responsible for the administration of the company’s relocation program.

Provide for retirement plan administration in accordance with plan documents, prospectus and regulatory standards e.g., DOL, ERISA, IRS/IRC.
Manage and provide direction to
investment advisors and co-fiduciaries, record-keepers, vendors, service providers and third-party administrators so as to manage cost and adherence to retirement plan service agreements and standards.
Develop and/or review employee and committee
communication materials including legally required notifications and disclosures including summary annual reports (SAR), summary material modifications (SMM), and plan amendments.
Develop and implement retirement and education plans to promote
employee awareness and commitment to their financial wellness.
Lead and/or participate in the preparation of Form 5500, annual audits and related filings and compliance activities. Provide for and evaluate outcome of annual and mid-year
Monitor vendor and administrator performance so as to maintain high levels of service and focus on process improvements that reduce cost, gain efficiencies and improve participant services and products.
and oversee the analysis of retirement plan budgets, forecasts and development of long term retirement benefits strategy.
Remain current on developing trends, strategies and compliance/regulatory considerations to ensure retirement plans remain
competitive and compliant.
Direct and provide guidance to retirement planning staff and plan sponsors. Prepare materials and topics of discussion and lead the agenda and discussions of the retirement plan committees.
Act as the
company’s subject matter expert on its retirement plans to participants and committees providing council within appropriate boundaries.
Manage plan activity and communications resulting from acquisitions and divestitures.

Six years progressive experience in the administration of 401(k) retirements plans to include three years leadership experience.
Three years experience in the
administration of non-qualified deferred compensation plans.
Demonstrated success in the management and coordination of third-party administrators, record-keepers and advisors.
Demonstrated success with RFP and record-keeper selection
processes, and plan migrations and implementations.
Demonstrated interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to conduct presentations and facilitate meetings.
Detail oriented, analytical skills, strong
organization and time-management skills, demonstrated ability to work independently and self-motivated.
Intermediate MS Office and advanced MS Excel experience.
Experience with ADP Enterprise and Wells Fargo record-keeping services
Human Resources related certification preferred e.g., CRSP, CEBS, CBP, C(k)PTM
Prolonged periods of personal computer use.
