Document Specialist Manager

Description:
The Document Services Manager is responsible for managing administration of our Document Services accordance with industry standards, regulatory agencies, and company objectives and policies. This position reports to
the Director of Plan Services.
Responsibilities:
- Create strategy for, and oversee all aspects of creation, execution, distribution of all plan documents, amendments, restatements, and notices.
- Stay current on
legislation/regulation that affects our Document Services, ensuring all plans stay in compliance
- Manage the Document Services Team by coaching and developing staff members through performance management, goal setting, training (new hire and
ongoing), effective employee relations including directing the growth and development of the various staff members
- Ensure departmental and individual accountability in the performing of Document services by establishing metrics to track all levels
of performance. Additionally, provide oversight to the timing of services performed to ensure they are handled with the appropriate level of priority
- Coordinate the day to day Document Services processes and procedures with a focus on finding ways
to enhance and grow our existing product, working in conjunction with other department managers
- Partnering with IT to maximize efficiencies by building of automation to improve the Document Services procedures
- Prepare and manage the
Document Services Team budget
- Leading and/or supporting key projects that seek to enhance existing service and operational models within TRA
- Actively engage in strategic planning, ensuring the strategic vision is communicated accurately and
effectively within all assigned departments and is being implemented accordingly
- Support the change process to achieve intended organization and cultural outcomes
- Outstanding TRA Corporate Citizen dedicated to maintaining TRAs reputation in
the communities we touch
- Perform other job related duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:
- Bachelors
Degree (or equivalent experience)
- 5-10+ years of retirement industry experience
- Prior management experience in the industry preferred
- Ability to read and interpret legal document
- Proficient computer literacy (Excel, Word and
Adobe necessary; FT Williams Documents software and PensionPro software experience a plus)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Understanding of regulatory aspects of defined contribution plan administration and other
defined contribution regulatory issues involving ERISA and IRS Revenue Rulings
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills, with the ability to track multiple tasks and issues, set goals and prioritize tasks in a fast paced
environment
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to propose and implement creative solutions
- Ability to take initiative and make independent judgments
- ASPPA QKA, or approved equivalent, preferred
