Job Title: Director - Internal Sales Operations

Reports To: Head of Sales Positions Supervised: Internal Sales Consultant(s)

Work Schedule: Flexible remote working schedule - Remote.

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Director of Internal Sales Operations is responsible for ensuring that 401k, MEP, and PEP sales teams’ processes are efficient and effective. They develop and implement strategies to improve sales performance, manage sales data and analytics, and collaborate with other departments to align sales goals with overall business objectives. Additionally, they will be instrumental in building an effective internal sales team, provide leadership and support to this team, and foster a positive and productive work environment. The role also involves monitoring sales metrics and identifying areas for improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Analyze and optimize end-to-end sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Oversee the implementation and management of sales technologies, Salesforce system and other tools
  • Partnering with IT, utilize data analytics to provide reporting and forecasting for sale performance, trends, and areas of improvement
  • Support the external sales team and over time build out and manage the internal sales team that supports the external sales team
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and opportunities in Salesforce.
  • Direct the efforts regarding Sales Campaigns and Journey creation from a sales perspective, along with follow up data for revenue tracking
  • Build and own a unified strategy and cadence with marketing and onboarding to drive exceptional sales results
  • Proposal and RFP coordination outlining the scope of Recordkeeping, Administration, 3(16), MEP, or PEP services, pricing structures and terms

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to evaluate and improve end-to-end sales processes. 
  • Ability to build, support, and eventually lead an internal sales team; experience in coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Proficient in using data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Salesforce reports) to generate insights, forecasts, and performance dashboards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, diligence, and adaptability. 

EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years’ experience in retirement plan recordkeeping sales and sales support, or a similar role within financial services or retirement plan administration.
  • Experience supporting, building, and/or managing a sales team, with a track record of driving performance and process improvements required. 
  • Experience partnering with financial advisors and consultants managing retirement plans
  • Deep Understanding of 401ks, MEPs and PEPs plans and regulations.
  • 5+ years of Salesforce reporting or similar CRM experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Relius required.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in business, Marketing, or a related field or additional equivalent work experience

What’s in it for you Package
This role will have a base pay range of $110,000 - $125,000. Please know, this is the base range only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for this role. This position is also eligible for bonus compensation based on quarterly sales goals.
