Description

The Retirement Account Manager is responsible for maintaining a relationship and providing operational expertise and support to our clients, Relationship Managers, and Brokers. The individual will advise our clients on the day-to-day operations of their plan and offer expertise on retirement plan rules and regulations. Additionally, the position requires consultation with our clients on governmental filings and IRS, DOL, and Form 5500 audits.

How will you demonstrate our values and positively impact our business?


DELIVER SERVICE

  • Respond to client, Relationship Manager, and Broker inquiries within 24 hours and deliver on commitments.
  • Work with the manager to resolve technical, service, and compliance issues.
  • Assist with reviewing annual DOL Forms 5500 and educating clients on the documents.
  • Consult with clients on IRS and DOL audits and assist with answering all questions and providing needed documentation.
  • Coordinate plan conversions with the prior administrator and assist the client with all the steps in the process.
  • Advise clients on plan terminations and transfers. Support the group through the entire process.

ESPRIT DE CORPS

  • Provide support to the Relationship Managers and Brokers to provide a better customer experience.
  • Share ideas with the team and leadership on improving and building our client relationships.

BRING GUSTO

  • Review departmental operational and client service responsibilities and provide feedback on ways to streamline and improve processes.
  • Expand expertise and role by seeking ways to help leaders and team members with special projects and daily responsibilities.

BE EXPERTS

  • Continue to grow knowledge of ERISA rules and regulations by attending seminars, webcasts and reading articles and books on the subject.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of our recordkeeping system to help improve the customer experience and assist with operational responsibilities.
  • Schedule and coordinate training with team members to better understand our products, databases, and reporting systems. Share your unique knowledge and experiences with the team.

OWN IT

  • Develop strong partnerships with our clients and become the “go-to” for all their client service and operational needs.
  • Thoroughly document all responsibilities to assist with cross-training and supporting new hires.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work and communicate across all areas within the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong client service skills
  • Keen attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Knowledge of ERISA and IRS retirement plan regulations
  • Experience with Relius Administration Systems or other retirement recordkeeper software

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Successful completion of the ASPPA QKA license is required. A willingness to pursue the designation within the first year of employment will be considered.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in retirement client services or administration.

  • Business Travel: Travel is less than 10%
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 pounds
