administrative fiduciary services to Plan Sponsors. With extensive backgrounds in the retirement plan industry and a solid reputation built over the course of the partners’ careers, Anchor 3(16) has experienced rapid growth in the last eight
years. We are committed to providing the highest level of quality work and customer service to our clients and referral partners, and we’re looking to add an industry-experienced individual to join our 3(16) fiduciary team!
As a Fiduciary Analyst for Anchor 3(16), your responsibilities will include various administrative fiduciary functions for an assigned book of business. The caseload will be comprised of plans of various sizes and
complexities but be commensurate based on experience. This position works as a member of a team with a dedicated Manager and Senior Consultant.
Responsibilities:
- Review census data to determine eligibility for participation in the
company-sponsored retirement plan
- Provide enrollment materials to newly eligible participants in a timely fashion in advance of Entry Date
- Review payroll data to ensure 401(k) salary deferral modifications are updated and loan repayments
commence timely
- Assist with the monitoring and tracking of automatic enrollment and escalation
- Ensure timely remittance of payroll contributions; submit payroll contribution files to vendor
- Calculate or confirm employer matching
contributions on a pay period basis in accordance with plan document provisions
- Review IRS Form 5500 and related Schedules for accuracy and address with TPA counterpart
- Support auditors for large plan audits by gathering requested reports
and transaction detail
- Understand and interpret defined contribution plan documents
- Review distribution and loan requests to determine if in good order or if additional information is needed
- Communicate directly with plan
participants regarding loan and distribution options, requests for additional information, and approval/denial of distribution requests
- Evaluate participant’s eligibility for financial hardship distribution
- Authorize
termination/retirement/hardship distributions
- Monitor terminated participant accounts, provide notification, and ensure forced distributions are processed annually
- Ensure applicable notices are provided to eligible participants timely in
accordance with IRS/DOL regulations (including items such as the Summary Plan Description or Summary of Material Modifications, Summary Annual Report, Qualified Default Investment Alternative Notice, Fee Disclosure Notice, Safe Harbor or Automatic
Enrollment Notice, etc.)
- Research plan-related issues and corrective measures
- Work directly with Plan Sponsors, TPAs, financial advisors, and other team members on a daily basis to ensure timely completion of
deadlines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in math, finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience (current) in the retirement plan industry is
required
- Background knowledge and understanding of qualified defined contribution plan administration and responsibilities, including ERISA and IRS/DOL rules and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret Plan Documents as
it relates to eligibility determination, contribution requirements, distribution options, etc.
- Familiarity with the recordkeeping platforms for major providers in the industry
- ASPPA credentials preferred
- Proficient
with Microsoft Office products
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and well-organized
- Ability to work and thrive in a team
environment approach with an eagerness to learn
