Purpose of Position

A Quality Review Specialist will help ensure that our clients receive accurate and timely compliance reporting. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a top-tier knowledge of testing methods, plan compliance requirements, plan document interpretation, trust accounting and government forms preparation while possessing the ability to communicate corrections needed with a mentoring tone.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze team member work product including but not limited to compliance testing, regulatory filings, late deposit corrections, and QDROs
  • Deliver on review projects to meet or exceed quality and timeliness expectations
  • Advise when plan amendments may be needed for correction purposes
  • Coordinate with client-facing team members to address issues of plan qualification, fiduciary responsibility, or other plan regulatory issues
  • Assist team members with questions surrounding plan establishment, mergers, spin-offs and/or terminations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments to Internal Revenue Code (IRC), ERISA, and other relevant laws as they affect employee retirement plans
  • Respond to queries from team members with respect to plan provisions and resolve/escalate any problems or issues
  • Participate in leveraged teams that work effectively together
  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
  • May assist with preparation of compliance corrections

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of TPA Industry experience, prior Quality Review experience a plus
  • 7 years preparing and/or reviewing compliance work
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines
  • Excellent Leadership, time management and organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft products experience, specifically Excel skills
  • Experience using recordkeeping/TPA software; FT William and PensionPro experience a plus
  • Certifications through NIPA or ASPPA, including QKA or equivalent desired – must be willing to work toward Industry Designation/credentials

  • Ability to build rapport with others remotely while working productively with limited in-person interaction
  • Designate a quiet, well-lit workspace with a fast internet connection, free of distractions
  • Be online and available during designated business hours in your local time zone
  • Familiarity with using Microsoft Teams or other virtual meeting applications to collaborate with colleagues via video
  • Experience with file-storage and file-sharing tools such as Microsoft SharePoint and Citrix ShareFile

Compensation and Benefits

Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life, a very generous PTO policy, a 401(k) with a company match, and education reimbursement. Salary range $75,000 to $85,000.
