Compliance Specialist II

We are seeking a Compliance Specialist responsible for third-party administration tasks, including the preparation of 5500 forms. Relius experience a plus. This fully remote role focuses on TPA retirement benefits administration, ensuring compliance
with regulatory requirements and providing expert support to teammates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare 5500 forms and other third-party administration tasks.
- Ensure compliance with retirement plan
regulations.
- Provide expert support to teammates.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong understanding of retirement plan regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote
environment.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (you stateside time zone).
- 40-hour work week with some overtime as necessary.
Position
Details:
- Full-time, salaried, and exempt.
- Wonderful working environment with opportunities for growth.
Requirements:
- Own equipment meeting standardized minimum internet speed
requirements.
- Internet package with a minimum of 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed.
- PC computers only (no Mac products or tablets), no older than 2-3 years.
- Connect to your router with an ethernet cord.
- Webcam in
working condition for remote system assessment.
Duties
- Complete all required testing for retirement plans
- Prepare large-plan filer Form 5500s for review and signing
- Provide support for independent
auditor when audit is required
- Support Plan Sponsors in completing IRS audit requirements
- Must gain extensive knowledge of retirement plans through successfully completing the QKA-1 and QKA-2 exams within 1 year of accepting this position;
maintain QKA designation once obtained
- Must meet or exceed required level of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in all measured areas
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or
Director
Qualifications
- Must be professional and articulate in both verbal and written communication
- Must be well-organized and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet
deadlines
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Strong understanding of yearend ERISA administration
- Personable, highly motivated, hardworking and positive attitude
- Ability to resolve conflict
- Must be highly
attentive to detail and accuracy of work and maintain an organized approach to duties and responsibilities
- Should have strong computer skills including typing and 10-key, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Be able to
comprehend and interpret IRS and DOL regulations
- Must work well within a team
Educational and Experience – Bachelor’s degree or work equivalent required. 1 year retirement plan administration experience is
required.
Physical Requirements – This position requires the employee to be seated the majority of the work time
