Qualified Pension Services, Inc. (QPS) is a local Denver-area based Third Party Retirement Plan Administration firm, in business since 1996.  QPS is well-known in Colorado and has a good reputation in the industry.  We have a highly-experienced, very collaborative team, and we are looking for a Retirement Plan Administrator to join our team!

Duties:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with Clients, Recordkeepers, Financial Advisors, CPA’s and Others.
  • Engages with clients to understand their specific requirements.
  • Provides day-to-day client guidance and support regarding Retirement Plan Administration.
  • Demonstrates ability to research questions and provide outstanding client service.
  • Timely resolution of issues and effective communication.
  • Complete or review Annual Valuation work, including compliance testing, employer contribution calculations, Form 5500/8955-SSA reporting and other applicable tasks.

Required Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Retirement Plan Administration experience is a must, 8+ years desired.
  • Exceptional understanding of plan administration, compliance testing and IRS regulations.
  • Ability to complete work within required timeframes.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, time management and verbal/written communication.
  • Strong client-driven approach.  Ability to develop and maintain relationships.
  • A high degree of self-direction and ability to work in a changing environment.
  • Great attitude and a team player.
  • Experience with FT William compliance software, Microsoft 365 software (including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and Dynamics) preferred.
  • Willingness to attend educational seminars and/or obtain credentials, such as APA, QKA, etc. (if you do not already have).

Work Location and Hours:

Retirement Plan Administrators are home-based, have flexible schedules however, additional work may be required as job duties demand, especially during peak deadline periods.

Compensation and Benefits:

Retirement Plan Administrator begins with a salary (75k to 90k depending on experience). QPS also offers company health insurance, short-term disability, Cafeteria/Flex plan and a 401(k) plan.
