Project Manager - Retirement Plan TPA

Job Summary:
The Project Manager plays a crucial role in managing projects spanning multiple departments. This includes gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data related to these projects. This role also involves collaborating
with cross-functional teams, developing relationships with plan sponsors and vendors, managing resources, and ensuring project milestones and onboarding timelines are met. This position can be fully remote, in-office in Stratham, NH, or hybrid.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for certain projects as assigned, including but not limited to:
- annual force-out distributions for applicable plans.
- implementation of
new systems or software.
- special client projects/corrections
- Manage project planning, including defining scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Coordinate project activities, timelines, and dependencies. Monitor progress and
adjust as needed.
- Ensure project tasks are assigned and completed as scheduled. Work with team members to allocate resources effectively.
- Maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting
minutes.
- Communicate project updates to stakeholders.
- Meet Compass Service Agreement standards when interacting with plan sponsors, participants, advisors and vendors, including addressing inquiries efficiently, professionally and
accurately.
- Respond to plan sponsors, participants, advisors and vendors emails and calls within 24 hours.?
- Develop SOPs for processes in which you are determined to be a SME. This includes writing the SOP as well as recording
the SOP overview.
- Serve as backup/overflow for Operations staff members when they are out of the office and/or during peak time periods for the department.
- Act as a conduit between outsourcing partners and internal staff to communicate
issues and develop processes and training.
- Manage relationships with certain vendors and internal staff to communicate issues and develop processes and training.
- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of various software and data
management systems.
- Identify areas of improvement for Compass services and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Protect and secure all confidential data held by Compass to prevent unauthorized access, improper
transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to the company or our plan sponsors, participants, advisors and vendors.
- Stay informed about Compass's business and product offerings to
provide informed assistance to plan sponsors and advisors and to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Perform additional job duties/special projects as assigned.??
Required
Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of retirement plans, record-keeping and payroll platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and
attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to problem solve, be proactive, and demonstrate initiative.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to function
well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
preferred.
- 3-5 years experience in a related field.
- ASPPA credentials are preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Requires the ability to:
- Sit at a desk and
work on a computer for a prolonged period
- Operate a computer, phone, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner, postage machine and other related office equipment.
- See and observe printed or electronic information on computer
monitors.
- Communicate and exchange information to others over phone or video conferencing software.
- Communicate and interact cordially and professionally with other staff members.
- Follow all company policies as outlined
in the employee handbook.
- Working conditions include a normal indoor office environment. If remote in employee’s home, the space should be free of interruptions with minimal background noise.
- Regular work hours should match those
hours the clients and other employees are working, which is Monday through Friday in the 7:00am – 6:00pm range.
- The position can be in-office in NH or remote from the employee's home.
