Experienced Combo Plan Administrator

Benefit Associates, Inc. is looking for a Combo Plan Administrator with experience in Defined Benefit plans and Defined Contribution plans. The ideal candidate will have experience in full plan administration, including:

  • Perform A-Z administration and independently manage a caseload of 401(k) / Cash Balance and some stand-alone Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution plans 
  • Process loans & distributions 
  • Prepare and facilitate PBGC filings for covered Defined Benefit Plans
  • Read and interpret legal plan documents and amendments
  • Discuss plan design changes and options with clients
  • Review and import census data and reconcile participant account data, including “receivable” contributions
  • Prepare 401(k) valuations/trust accounting/government reporting on an accrual or cash basis
  • Perform and understand ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), Top Heavy and 401(a)(4) combo non-discrimination testing
  • Work with enrolled Actuaries to coordinate and oversee activities that will ensure timely and accurate completion of calculations and valuations
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Calculation of Annual Plan Contribution
  • Prepare Form 5500 and review Schedule SB

Required:

  • 5 or more years of administrative experience
  • Experience with ASC a plus
  • Professional designations (ASPPA, NIPA) a plus

Work schedule:

  • 37.5 hour work week
  • No overtime
