Overview of the Position:

The primary role for this position is to complete new plan installations, takeover conversions, and vendor conversions in a timely and accurate manner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works within the Internal Revenue Code and all regulations to keep clients compliant.
  • Reviews plan documentation to determine plan features and discusses changes to adhere to standard document provisions.
  • Assists clients with meeting deadlines.
  • Prepares or restates plan documents.
  • Prepares participant notices.
  • Prepares blackout notices and terminations of prior providers.
  • Manages internal transfers.
  • Communicates potential issues or concerns to analysts and management.
  • Schedules conversions and communicates timing of those conversions.
  • Reconciles takeover assets.
  • Completes set up in internal systems: FT Williams, DATAIR, and PensionPro
  • Prepares plan work for clean transition (i.e., no additional requests will be needed from prior service provider once the Plan has been moved from conversion)
  • Adheres to internal procedures and checklists/projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or needed.
  • Utilizes internal and external resources to research answers to questions and issues.
  • Heavy technology emphasis
  • Process and manage plan installation which includes plan sponsor, financial advisor and participant questions on Enrollment, Distribution and Loan Processing while in installation.
  • Participates in status updates in bi-weekly calls.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings. Regularly correspond with the team regarding installations

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have a BS/BA degree in Business or a Financial discipline (or equivalent work experience)
  • Two or more years of 401(k) Plan administration experience
  • Industry certification preferred with NIPA, ASPPA or a 4-year college degree is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
  • High level of critical thinking
  • Ability to commit to lifelong learning and coachable
  • Procedure documentation experience is a plus
  • Experience with Pension Pro and FT Williams preferred
  • Available to work flexible hours to meet daily schedules and cover peak workloads
  • Experience with all stages of the installation process for defined contribution plans preferred
