Presently, RLC is seeking an individual with knowledge of and experience working with the technical rules and regulations governing

• All types of qualified retirement plans, both defined contribution and defined benefit plans,
• Traditional and Roth IRAs,
• SEP and SIMPLE IRA plans,
• Nonqualified deferred compensation plans and
• Executive and stock compensation arrangements.

Main Duties

• Answer phone calls and emails from financial professionals with technical questions and client cases related to retirement plans and executive compensation arrangements as a member of our Resource Desk.
• Analyze qualified, nonqualified and stock option governing documents. 
• Enjoy part-time travel for speaking engagements.
• Write compelling and technically accurate content on industry topics.

This position is a mid- to senior-level, full-time position for a self-motived, independent worker. Preference given to candidates with industry-related designations such as CEBS, CPC, QKA, QPA, C(k)p, JD, etc. We are looking for candidates with 

• An eagerness to support financial advisors and other professionals in the retirement services industry;
• A thorough understanding of IRS and Department of Labor rules governing qualified retirement plans, IRAs, nonqualified plans, stock compensation and executive compensation arrangements and their operation;
• The ability to review, interpret and succinctly summarize retirement plan and executive compensation document provisions;
• Experience interpreting IRS Form 5500 filings;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel; and
• Strong communication skills.
