Sentinel Group

(Remote / Wakefield MA / Troy MI / Hybrid)

The Purpose of Your Role:
Do you want to work for a fun, growing organization where people truly make a difference?

The Conversion Analyst (CA) works with the Conversion Project Manager and other internal departments to successfully implement retirement plans. The goal is to provide a successful and seamless transition into Sentinel’s ongoing administrative process.  One key part of the CA role is reviewing, mapping, and loading all conversion data in the recordkeeping systems for ongoing service.  This involves working with and manipulating multiple file types with a high amount of detailed data.

This is a consultative role where the CA works closely with other team members and departments in a way that displays Sentinel’s five foundational values: Integrity, Excellence, Empowerment, Expertise, and Innovation.  The role demands a high level of skill in organization and detailed work with conversion files.

What you'll bring to Sentinel:

  • Expertise in defined contribution plans, plan documents and ERISA regulation
  • Experience in working with conversion files (Excel, txt, etc.)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality or accuracy

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • System setup of new retirement clients to Sentinel’s recordkeeping and administrative platforms.  This includes overseeing the transfer and re-investment of plan assets.
  • Load/update all conversion data in the recordkeeping systems for ongoing service.  Perform analysis to identify missing or incomplete data.
  • Update and reconcile employee accounts in the administration system. Perform quality control tasks on own and team member’s work product.
  • Track and monitor setup milestones using project management tools
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments (Contributions, Trading, Documents, and Plan Consulting teams) to successfully implement clients into Sentinel
  • Acts as consultant on case alongside of Project Manager
  • Active part of conversion review and strategy.
  • Assist as required with special projects, acquisitions, etc.
  • Resource to other departments to provide conversion and setup assistance.

About you:
We are looking for someone that supports, strengthens, and complements our Conversions Team mission statement: “We are ambassadors for Sentinel and a sentinel for our clients.  Our work demonstrates organization, expertise, and clear communication.  This critical first experience with Sentinel builds a trusting partnership with our new clients.”

What you need to have:
Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience
  • 4+ years defined contribution experience, preferable in a conversion and / or plan administration role
  • Experience with Relius Recordkeeping System (including census, DERs, and transaction processing)
  • Advanced Experience in working with Microsoft Excel

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with Infor and/or Salesforce CRM application
  • Experience with Basecamp and DocuSign software
