Senior Retirement Plan Recordkeeper

for Cannabis companies. Through our open architecture recordkeeping services, we provide investment advisors, managers, plan sponsors and participants access to traditional and non-traditional investments.
Department
Responsibilities
Our Recordkeeping team is responsible for processing plan participant transactions and quality checking each distribution, rollover, payroll to ensure funds flow to and from the correct accounts. The department is also
responsible for ticket handling and meeting departmental Service Level Agreements as set by the organization as well as the clients we serve.
Essential Job Duties
- Meet and maintain company and department servicing and
quality control commitments.
- Serves as project lead on process improvement efforts necessary to service a high volume of retirement plan transactions with accuracy and efficiency with a focus on minimizing errors.
- Streamlines processes in
alignment with organizational growth.
- Launch new and enhanced Recordkeeping initiatives.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on our Recordkeeping system.
- Collaborates closely with client service teams in the coordination and
fulfillment of client inquiries, including plan conversions and terminations.
- Resolves escalated operational and inquiry calls from internal and external partners as it relates to participant related transactions.
- Recommends and timely
executes corrective activity to maintain retirement plan compliance.
- Maintains a working knowledge of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code and applicable regulatory guidelines connected with retirement plan operations, recordkeeping, and
administration.
- Support daily and balance forward defined contribution and defined benefit plans, including daily trading, reconciliation, contribution processing, distribution and loan processing.
- Review Match calculations, fund notices,
and other trading transactions to ensure accuracy and completion of the task.
- Assist in the setup of outgoing & incoming rollovers for plan participants, including working with participants and banks while communicating progress with the
client.
- Customer support, including answering phone calls and email inquiries.
- Review plan documents and understand retirement plan provisions, installation of plans in Recordkeeping and other systems.
- Fee processing.
- Assist
with plan conversions and deconversions.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ Years of daily recordkeeping experience of 401k plans.
- 4+ Years of experience with Schwab Retirement
Technologies (SRT) or similar platform.
- Thoroughly understands (and stays knowledgeable of) retirement plans particularly defined contribution and small defined benefit plans.
- Ability to maintain strong working relationship with
trading/custody vendors.
- Capable of relating to customers, other team members and leadership.
- Must have the ability to process detailed work, within assigned timeframes.
- Superb communication skills and a commitment to superior
customer service.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, proficient with numbers and basic calculations.
- Solutions oriented and ability to handle changing and competing responsibilities are necessary skills when working in an emerging
business, like Leading Retirement Solutions.
- Strong command of technology and ability to learn new software solutions easily and quickly.
- Proficiency is required with Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, browsing network directories, and
dual screens as we are a paperless office. Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- ASPPA Retirement Plan credentialled preferred (ex. RPF, QKA, QPA).

Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and
arms.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- The work
environment is usually an indoor setting with infrequent exposure to outside elements.
- The person in this position occasionally needs to move about inside a home office environment to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly
operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a printer.
