Retirement Plan Administrator

We are a growing TPA firm based in the Tampa, Florida area seeking to expand our team with an experienced Retirement Plan Administrator. This position is fully remote providing the flexibility and convenience of working from home. We
will provide a home office setup including a computer and a phone.
This individual should be highly motivated, organized, energetic and strive to exceed the expectations of our clients. Successful candidates must: be
dedicated to customer service, have a positive attitude, have the ability to take charge of the entire process, be able to multi-task, and be committed to getting the job done.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- All aspects of
retirement plan administration for assigned defined contribution clients of various sizes
- Coordination with and review of support staff work product for certain plans within assigned block of clients
- Serve as day-to-day point of contact for
plan sponsors, investment advisors, CPAs, etc.
- Year-end compliance testing, contribution calculations, trust accounting, census data analysis
- Annual report, Form 5500, Form 8955-SSA preparation
- Contribution scenarios for possible
plan design changes and optimum contribution calculations
- Assist plan document preparer with plan design as needed
- Interpret plan documents/notices
- Keep current with new regulations and legislation; maintain awareness of proposed
regulations and legislation
- Expand professional knowledge through seminars, self-study, industry events
Desired Skills/Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- ASPPA and/or NIPA designations
- At least 5
years of experience in retirement plan administration handling a full case load
- Ability to read and interpret plan documents
- Must demonstrate commitment to professionalism and quality work product
- Ability to work independently with
minimal supervision, but also as a team player
- Must be well-organized to be able to prioritize, multi-task and handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- High level of critical
thinking, accuracy and attention to detail
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft 365 software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Relius Documents and FT William Administration/Documents/5500 a plus
- Experience with MEP/PEO plans
or coordination of 401k/cash balance plans with actuarial team may provide an opportunity to expand position

Work location/hours
- Work from home
- Approximately 1-2 times per year travel to Tampa for company events

- Flexible choice of daily work schedule with starting time between 7am – 10am Eastern
