About Ameren Services (B&CS)

About The Position
The Benefits Compliance and Legal Analyst provides analysis of employee benefits plans and issues and drafts and maintains legal documents as they relate to benefits. This position works to ensure that Ameren is compliant with all applicable ERISA and Internal Revenue Code requirements, including IRS and DOL guidance relating to employee benefits matters. The Benefits Compliance and Legal Analyst ensures that all pension and welfare plan communications are compliant with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of five years of relevant experience required; ten years preferred.
Additional qualifications, such as certified employee benefits specialist (CEBS) and law firm or legal department experience preferred. Expertise with employee benefits compliance, including ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code. Strong attention to detail and organizational and communication skills required. Willingness and desire to learn and take on additional responsibilities
