Benefits Account Manager

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and directing the front-line relationship with clients, including, but not limited to, key decision-makers – HR leadership, Brokers, C-level- partners, and internal staff delivering the total health
benefits administration solution. They are responsible for managing the relationship, performing analysis and assessment of the benefit plan, recommending strategies, assuring superior service levels and plan effectiveness, the overall retention of the
business, and upselling FBG products – where appropriate.

- Develop, nurture, and sustain
professional relationships with internal and external business partners by communicating well.
- As their primary Point of Contact, demonstrate mature abilities to prioritize duties to their specific need so that trust is earned as a result of our
services and processes.
- Acting as daily contact with the broker and client.
ESPRIT DE CORPS
- Take pride in our work as we deliver service that is customized to our client's needs.
- Contribute to the
renewal process technically, analytically, and creatively by initiating and collaborating with service departments throughout the renewal process.
- Generate and utilize system reports to review, analyze, reconcile, and share data internally
and with our client regarding all aspects of enrollments, terms, and plan changes.
- Provides direction to internal departments regarding process changes, plan changes, billing, etc.
- Participate/support new business as an agent providing a
quality service experience.
- Partner with Sales, Implementation, Marketing, Business Innovation, Billing, Product, and Claims in presentations, processes, submissions, projects, reconciliations, and quality assurance.
BRING

- Facilitate regular customer-centered meetings with internal teams to assess and keep abreast of any escalating service, billing, product, or claim issues.
- Execute effective and timely resolutions, demonstrating an ability
to manage all facets of the problem/situation while advocating for the client's interests.
- Keep the client informed of pertinent changes, billing or enrollment issues, compliance information, etc.

- Know your clients, products, and processes so well that you can anticipate their needs as an Account Manager, provide direction, and execute solutions.
- Demonstrate an expert level of knowledge by clearly articulating
various products, policies, and procedures in verbal and written communication.
OWN IT
- Own the service experience of our client at the Account Management level by working with the internal teams and partners as
required to ensure issues are resolved promptly and accurately, meeting the customer's expectations.
- Respond to escalated issues and communicate resolution well.

Abilities
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to accomplish and manage multiple priorities independently and simultaneously.

- Strong organizational, project, and time management skills, with extreme attention to detail

- Exceptional communication skills, both in the verbal and written word, necessary to communicate with clients, carriers, and prospects concerning employee benefits lines of
coverage
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred; basic working knowledge of PowerPoint preferred
- Curiosity that is lived out through data analysis.
- Extensive knowledge and
experience in the group health insurance industry for fully insured and self-funded plans
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related experience
- Minimum of five years of
experience in the group medical insurance field
- Three to five years of experience in Health plan administration and/or payroll cycle benefit plan administration
- Life and Health Agent's license
