Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Benefits Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retirement plan administration, a deep understanding of compliance regulations, and the ability to provide exceptional client service. This role involves daily consultations with clients, quality review of compliance reports, and the leadership of a small team of professionals when needed. Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Consultations: Conduct daily consultations with clients to provide expert guidance on plan administration, compliance issues, and overall retirement      plan management.
  • Compliance Review: Perform quality reviews of compliance reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize FTWilliam software or equivalent to manage plan documents, compliance testing, and other administrative functions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a small team of benefits professionals as needed, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including the plan design and consulting teams, to ensure seamless service and client satisfaction.
  • Microsoft Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft software products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, to manage client data, prepare reports, and communicate with clients and team members.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continuously improve processes and client outcomes.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in retirement plan administration or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of FTWilliam software or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASPPA or other relevant certification(s) preferred.
  • Experience with IRS and Department of Labor correction programs.
