The Title: Internal Sales Consultant

The Description: The Finway Group is a Third-Party Administration (TPA) firm specializing in 401(k) plan administration, compliance, and consulting for retirement plans. Due to significant company growth with our 3(16) model as well as PEPs, we are seeking a team member that has experience with 401(k) sales with a drive to leave corporate America and be a part of our family atmosphere.

The Why:

  • 100% of premiums covered for employee health, dental, life, short term disability, and $1,200 HSA contribution per year
  • 3% company contribution to 401(k) plan plus a Cash Balance plan
  • 18 days PTO with increasing amount with tenure and 6 paid holidays plus 2 floating holidays
  • Remote location can be offered if not in the Des Moines area

The Responsibilities:             

  • Strengthen Finway Group’s brand in the assigned regional territory by building, managing and seeking relationships with advisors and key strategic partners
  • Communicate with advisors and sponsors to understand needs, develop solutions and strengthen relationships
  • Work with External Sales Associates to build proposals
  • Work with advisors, recordkeeping RSDs, recordkeeping internals and clients to coordinate and complete onboarding paperwork
  • Team player with a can do, positive people focused attitude who thrives on credibility, accountability and trustworthiness 
  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets in new business revenue
  • Participate in various initiatives, including presentations
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities as needed

The Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience in the retirement industry
  • Experience selling 401(k), 403(b), 3(16), MEPs & PEPs
  • Experience working directly with RSDs, advisors, benefit brokers & plan sponsors
  • Experience selling to business owners
  • Professional and concise verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills 
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Self-starter and solution seeker who works well independently
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of social selling concepts and practices
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Comprehensive knowledge of retirement plans with knowledge of IRS and ERISA regulations
  • Ability to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to travel based on business needs
