The Senior Multi-Employer Benefits Administrator will be part of the company's administration department, responsible for processing transactions for retirement plans and conducting annual compliance testing and filings for Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, and Multi-Employer plans. This role may also involve leading a team of Multi-Employer Benefits Administrators.

Essential Functions:

The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for Taft-Hartley/Multi-Employer Plans, preparing for and attending Board meetings while offering guidance on complex retirement plan issues. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations pertaining to qualified retirement plans. Responsibilities include interpreting plan documents and providing plan design consulting for new plans and amendments. Holding an ASPPA, NIPA, or CEBS designation, or having equivalent experience, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities include daily trading and trust reconciliation, payroll processing, distribution and loan processing, customer support, plan conversions, compliance testing, tax form preparation (5500, 8955-SSA, 5330, etc.), audit support, and conducting annual compliance and nondiscrimination testing. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Other knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Seeking candidate with exceptional attention to detail, preferred knowledge of Defined Contribution plans and Schwab Retirement Technologies (SRT), strong communication and editing abilities, deadline-driven mindset, critical thinking skills, proficiency in numbers and accounting, self-motivation, and advanced Excel proficiency.

Union Affiliation:

This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement with UFCW, Local 21, and requires this employee to become a union member in good standing.
