Job Description

As the Retirement Plan Sales Consultant, you will develop new Retirement Plan Services business with existing Bremer customers and prospects by building relationships, understanding needs, and effectively communicating valuable solutions. Responsible for all aspects of the sales process from prospecting to closing business including coordination of meetings, support materials, proposals, and sales presentations. Input accurate and timely information into Salesforce related to prospecting/sales activities. Provides insights on fiduciary, technical, and operational retirement plan matters through the sales process. Develops relationships with internal partners and external centers of influence to grow Retirement Plan Services and broader Bremer business/revenue. Partners with members of other Bremer business lines to promote and deliver all appropriate Bremer services to prospects and existing clients. Actively participates in business line and enterprise-wide initiatives and adheres to risk management and compliance requirements applicable to the banking industry and broader financial services industry.


  • A combination of education and experience which includes a bachelor's degree and minimum of 3 years sales experience preferably with retirement plans. 
  • Proven success meeting sales/revenue goals through sourcing and acquiring new business A working knowledge of investment services, plan design, industry trends, and fiduciary requirements of ERISA governed plans is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and internal partners in the development of institutional retirement/Bremer business clients. The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • The ability to present Bremer Retirement Plan Services products and services to existing clients and new prospects.
