Position Summary

Act as subject matter expert and assist plan sponsors in the design, administration, and funding of their Defined Benefit and Cash Balance plans in accordance with IRS rules and actuarial standards of practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and modification of retirement plans.
  • Perform actuarial valuations to determine the funding requirements and financial health of retirement plans.
  • Ensure retirement plans comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and Internal Revenue Code (IRC).
  • Analyze plan data, demographic trends, and economic factors to assess the financial risks associated with retirement plans.
  • Provide support in communicating retirement plan details, options, and changes to clients.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure coordinated and efficient management of retirement plans.
  • Continuously monitor the retirement plans' performance and evaluate their effectiveness in meeting the company's objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math, or math related field.
  • 10+ years of industry related experience.
  • Small and large plan experience required.
  • Advanced understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
  • EA, FSA, ASA, MAA, MSEA or FSEA certifications.
  • Excellent analytical, research and time management skills.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to audiences with all levels of subject knowledge.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Detail/accuracy oriented.

FLSA Status:  Exempt

Depending on Experience & Location: $134k-$182k annually
