Position Summary: Requires advanced understanding of Cash Balance, Defined Benefit and 401K plans. Candidate works remotely. 

Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for plan administration, compliance and testing for assigned plans
  • Tracks and monitors job progress to ensure that all necessary data is requested and received in order to meet compliance deadlines
  • Prepares annual valuation and compliance reports
  • Reviews actuarial reports to communicate with clients and advisors
  • Reviews plan documents and amendments
  • Resolves operational and compliance issues related to qualified plans
  • Supports and reviews transactional processing (loans, distributions, RMDs)
  • Reads and comprehends retirement plan documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Considers and applies IRS, DOL, and ERISA legislation and regulations
  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of confidential data to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to us or our clients.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of prior ERISA experience in the retirement industry
  • Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
  • Strong written and oral communication, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
  • Holds professional Designation: QKA, QPA, APA, CPC designations preferred
  • Prior experience with ASC plan administration software
