Job Description:   My Benefits, LLC is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager responsible for executing a business plan to maintain and grow existing relationships and is responsible for the development of new distribution partners.  In this role, the ideal candidate will be a highly effective communicator with our existing clients and utilize our reporting tools to ensure quarterly outbound communications are documented and maintained. This self-starter must be a highly motivated, dynamic, and articulate individual dedicated to helping support the success of teammates and clients.  Your personal interaction skills will be heavily utilized when meeting with financial services professionals, business owners, human resource professionals and retirement plan participants.  This Relationship Manager role is designed to be a long-term position with opportunities to develop and live in South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Florida.  As a My Benefits, LLC Relationship Manager you will be joining a collaborative team of peers and colleagues working on game-changing retirement plan solutions.

The candidate must:

  • Lead and manage outbound communication to our clients
  • Consulting with clients and answer questions including, but not limited to, plan design, plan eligibility, contributions, compliance testing, and vesting via telephone and email
  • Have a deep understanding of plan administration and operational impacts to a plan, plan sponsor, participants and administrative team
  • Follow up on submission of annual client census and questionnaires
  • Manage missing K1/Schedule C information
  • Ensure receipt of missing self directed brokerage statements
  • Communicate ADP/ACP testing failures
  • Assist with emailing employer contribution calculations and ensuring deposits are made
  • Help ensure Form 5500s are electronically signed and filed
  • Retrieve audit reports and SOC1 reports
  • Communicate and follow up on plan forfeitures
  • Answer technical questions from Financial Advisors and Plan Sponsors
  • Facilitate client plan design changes and amendment requests
  • Work with onboarding and internal service teams to ensure clients experience the best in class service

Requirements:  The candidate will:

  • Have 5 or more years’ retirement plan administration experience
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or comparable professional work experience
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus and an excellent phone manner
  • Have the ability to solve problems without direct supervision
  • Have strong attention to detail, organization, multi- tasking, and follow up skills
  • Demonstrate superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly, confidently and professionally convey complex subject matter in an approachable way
  • Adhere to deadlines through excellent time management
  • Thrive in a team environment and be a positive team player
  • Be a confident self-starter with a “can do, will do” collaborative attitude
  • Thrive in a fun, team environment and be a positive team player
  • Want to truly learn and develop leading subject matter expertise
  • Have technology and computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, FT Williams, and/or PensionPro experience is a plus
  • ASPPA and/or NIPA designation(s) strongly preferred
