Job Description:   My Benefits, LLC is seeking an experienced Operations Manager who possesses a keen attention to detail and excellent working knowledge of ERISA with a focus on plan distribution rules and regulations. 

This knowledge should include termination, loans, in-service, hardship, death, QDROs, and RMD requirements. In addition, you should demonstrate the ability to mentor and provide guidance to entry level processing staff.  Your role will involve overall management of distribution/loan workflows, answering participant and plan sponsor inquiries, reviewing withdrawal requests, identifying and addressing any issues that arise with requests received and fielding vendor inquires and ensuring timely follow ups.  The successful candidate will be responsible for taking direct ownership for the fast paced distribution and loans department and dedicated to helping support the success of teammates, clients, and partners.  Your personal interaction skills will be heavily utilized when communicating meaningful deliverables to plan participants, financial services professionals, business owners, human resource professionals, recordkeeping platforms and colleagues.  As a My Benefits, LLC Supervisor/Manager, you will be joining a collaborative team of peers and colleagues working on game-changing retirement plan solutions.

The candidate must:

  • Manage daily distribution and loan requests
  • Monitor, review, and respond to participant, vendor, plan sponsor inquiries sent to central email box
  • Ensure timely receipt, logging and review of loans and distributions requests
  • Supervise, mentor and train entry level processing team members
  • Develop reporting for management
  • Improve existing processes and ensure new rules and regulation are reviewed and implemented
  • Communicate with participants, clients, financial advisors, and other professionals throughout the withdrawal process
  • Timely completion of reviews adhering to our servicing standards
  • Assist with Self Directed Brokerage account processing

Requirements:  The candidate will:

  • Have 5 or more years’ retirement plan administration experience
  • 2 plus years of retirement plan distribution and loan experience
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or comparable professional work experience
  • Possess strong financial acumen/math skills and the ability to put accounting principles into practice
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus and an excellent phone manner
  • Have the ability to solve problems without direct supervision
  • Have strong attention to detail, organization, multi- tasking, and follow up skills
  • Demonstrate superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly, confidently and professionally convey complex subject matter in an approachable way
  • Thrive in a team environment and be a positive team player
  • Be a confident self-starter with a “can do, will do” collaborative attitude
  • Thrive in a fun, team environment and be a positive team player
  • Want to truly learn and develop leading subject matter expertise
  • Have technology and computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, FT Williams, and/or PensionPro experience is a plus
  • ASPPA and/or NIPA designation(s) strongly preferred
