Third-Party Administrator (TPA)

Chase Benefit Advisors, a locally owned independent retirement plan administration and consulting firm, is seeking to add an experienced third-party administrator (TPA) to join our team.  Compensation is commensurate with experience.  Strong internal advancement plan in near future with significant income potential. We offer the opportunity for bonus pay. This is a full-time hybrid position (we are requiring partially in-office at our Glen Allen, VA office and partially remote).

Education and Experience:

• Prefer 5+ years TPA experience
• College degree preferred
• Knowledge of current ERISA, IRS and DOL rules and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of plan administration for assigned clients
• Service clients via phone and e-mail correspondence
• Interpret plan documents
• Review employee data, determine eligibility, and reconcile contributions/assets
• Calculate contributions and perform compliance testing
• Prepare Annual Reports, including Form 5500
• Terminations distributions, loans, hardships, etc. and review Form 1099-R
• Conduct regulatory and compliance research, reading and reporting, as necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in math, strong analytical and/or accounting skills
• Commitment to accurate, high quality work
• Skilled in building strong client relationships
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
