Apex Pension Strategies, Inc. provides administration and compliance services for all types of retirement plans with a special focus on ESOPs.  We are based in Atlanta and have been operating independently since 2003 serving hundreds of clients all across America. 


Location:

Remote position with regular local travel. Located in or near Atlanta to primarily cover the metro area and more generally in the Southeast for in-person meetings as well as availability for video meetings outside of the geographic area. 

If you are not in the Atlanta area and want to develop another market you can certainly reach out!

Position Summary:
You will be responsible for generating new business.  You will be the initial primary client contact ensuring a smooth transition to the administrators.  You will present proposals and maintain ongoing prospects for new business development. You should build relationships with both clients and referral sources such as advisors, accountants, and attorneys.

Responsibilities:

New Business Development

  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of the retirement industry.
  • Actively solicit new business opportunities with existing customers and referral sources.
  • Create and maintain networking relationships to create a pipeline of business.
  • Maintain client information in the company database.
  • Help create, edit and maintain collateral materials.
  • Understand the Apex differentiators and advantages.
  • Develop and consistently demonstrate professional sales skills to maximize business opportunities.

Client Retention

  • Retain and expand existing relationships.
  • Maintain periodic communication with clients and advisor to ensure needs are met.

Personal Growth and Development

  • Represent Apex in community organizations and activities.
  • Assume responsibility for career growth and development with continuing education.
  • Be flexible and adaptive.
  • Always maintain professionalism.
  • Work effectively inside and outside Apex.

Position Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a TPA sales role.
  • Good written/oral communication, organization, and client service skills required.
  • Ability to maintain professional working relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently and set priorities.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn internal tracking database software.
