Retirement Plan Administrator

We are an established TPA in the pension benefits space for more than 40 years, administering a variety of retirement plans.  Our client base consists of smaller Defined Benefit, 401 (k) and Profit Sharing plans.  At this time we are looking to add a part-time Retirement Plan Administrator to our team, who will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships. Remote work is acceptable.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Managing the day-to-day administration duties and client relationships for a caseload of several dozen qualified plans including Defined Benefit, Profit Sharing and 401(k) plans.
• Perform annual compliance testing for assigned clients (e.g., 401(g), 415(c), 410(b), 401(a)(26), 404, 430 ADP/ACP, Plan Limits, Top Heavy, etc.) 
• For Defined Benefit plans, coordinate actuarial valuation reports, participant statements, Annual Funding Notices, and AFTAP preparation.
• Review or conduct annual combined plan testing for combo clients.
• Prepare and file IRS Forms (5500 series, 5330, 1099R and related schedules).
• For Defined Benefit plans, prepare Form 5500-Schedule B for signature, prepare annual PBGC filings and assist with termination filings.
• Reconcile plan assets by working with Investment Advisor data in various formats.
• Maintain industry knowledge and share information with team members.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution administration
• Strong organizational skills
• Clear, accurate and professional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Must be able to work independently as well as a team player
• Experience with Datair software strongly preferred
