Compliance Consultant

Growing Midwestern TPA is seeking high level Compliance Consultant to join our team. We are a specialty firm as we work up market compared to most TPA’s with a sizable number of our plans being large plan audit plans.  Established in 1999 Blue Chip administers 401(k), ESOPs, profit sharing and 403(b) plans for small to medium sized businesses. We have a great combination of high-level tenured Compliance Consultants and are looking to add another to our team.

The position will be remote, administering a block of approximately 70-85 plans.

Specific Qualifications:

• Minimum of eight years administration experience in a TPA setting
• Four Year college degree in accounting, math or similar
• ASPPA designation: ERPA, CPC or QPA
• Extensive knowledge A-Z of non-discrimination & compliance testing
• Fluid in understanding plan document provisions
• Processing tax forms 5500’s, 5330’s, 1099R’s etc.
• Plan implementation and conversions
• Experience with (or exposed) to mergers / acquisitions & spinoffs
• Trust accounting and asset reconciliation
• Knowledge of Datair pension system and Ft William document system
• Thorough understanding of MS Office; Excel, Word and Outlook
• Familiarity of payroll contribution processing, including PDI uploads and payroll bridge
• Correspondence with plan sponsor contacts, various recordkeepers and investment advisors
• Work with CPA Auditors for large plan audit plans

• Be initiative-taking with plan design changes when the opportunity presents itself
