Acuff & Associates is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing strong client relationships for a caseload of Defined Contribution plans. The ideal candidate will, have pension/retirement plan administration experience, strong attention to detail, and superior customer service skills. The candidate must also have excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 

Job Description:   The candidate must:

  • Manage all client communication concerning the plan, deliver reports and testing, and answer day to day questions about the administration of the plan
  • Ensure deadlines are met on Form 5500 filings and accompanying schedules
  • Correspond with auditors and coordinate relationships between vendors, financial advisors and Acuff
  • Monitor billings and prepare additional billings as necessary
  • Interact with the processing team to answer questions and coordinate data collection
  • Coordinate with Defined Benefit team on combination plan clients
  • Display a positive, helpful attitude to help create a friendly environment for clients and co-workers
  • Ensure the growth of the business and be committed to the company’s success

Requirements:  The candidate will:

  • Have 3+ years’ Defined Contribution administration or consulting experience
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or comparable professional work experience
  • Have full understanding and command of compliance required for DC Plans
  • Possess an analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Demonstrate a passion for delivery of client services
  • Have strong attention to detail, organization, multi- tasking, and follow up skills
  • Demonstrate superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Be self-driven and motivated to work remotely
  • Thrive in a team environment and be a positive team player
  • Have technology and computer proficiency in Microsoft Office; Relius software, FT Williams & PensionPro experience strongly preferred
  • ASPPA or NIPA designation strongly preferred
