Software Quality Assurance Analyst

Basic Function:
This Software Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for assisting with the design and the testing of ftwilliam.com product features and enhancements focusing on, but not limited to, the ftwPortal Pro
software. This individual works as part of an agile team making sure features and enhancements are well designed and tested thoroughly to make sure items delivered to production are in working order to provide the best user
experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect design requirements and, working with product owner, help create user stories, complete with sample plans and acceptance testing, that developers will use
to develop new features and enhancements.
- Fully test new features and document all tests that have been run.
- Use automated testing software to create automated tests.
- Use (a) for future testing (regression) of the same and/or
similar software features and enhancements.
- Stay up to date with current testing practices and methodologies.
- Suggest software improvements through the course of testing.
- Work with other QA staff to create testing
policies and procedures so that documentation is consistent.
Software Quality Assurance Duties:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the automated testing software to serve as future regression
tests.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Excel.
- Able to switch gears and help test other parts of the software when requested.
- Will need a basic understanding of all software modules that ftwilliam.com
offers.
- Assist with all areas of customer support, when applicable during busy times.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
- 4 Year
degree preferably Bachelor’s in Quality Assurance or equivalent experience is a plus
- Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) or Qualified 401(k) Consultant (QKC) designation through ASPPA or equivalent experience is a
plus
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in the retirement plan industry
- At least 5 years of experience working in a development QA environment
- Experience with
MS Office suite, especially Excel
- Experience with customer support
- Familiarity with automated testing tools
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work as a contributing member of a
team
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Excellent time management skills
Travel
requirements are not to exceed 2-3 trips per year.
