MAP is looking for an experienced Plan Document Specialist to join our team.  This individual will work directly with a Team of experienced Plan Document Specialists.  This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing TPA Firm and have a significant impact of the growth within the team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum three years experience drafting Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, Cash Balance, and/or MEP documents
  • Experience with plan termination document preparation
  • Experience drafting discretionary and corrective amendments
  • Experience with merger and acquisitions
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
  • Strong commitment to proactively managing workload according to internal and IRS/DOL deadlines
  • Keen attention to detail and customer service needs  
  • Willing to work additional hours as needed on a seasonal/cyclical basis
  • & PensionPro experience a plus
  • VCP Correction & PBGC filing knowledge a plus


  • Support the new business process by drafting or reviewing set up of new and/or takeover plan documents in accordance with MAP Retirement’s best practices and business model.
  • Prepare Adoption Agreements and plan amendments while incorporating provisions to meet the needs of the client.
  • Preparation of termination documents including PBGC notices when applicable.
  • Ensure timely return and internal filing of executed plan documents which may require follow-up with clients via email.
  • Collaborate with MAP colleagues by effectively communicating the process, timing, software capabilities, informational needs & plan design considerations of plan amendments.
  • Review of IRS pre-approved plan documents as well as custom plan documents for protected benefit analysis in conjunction with merger and acquisitions projects.
  • Other special projects as assigned.
