Karel-Gordon & Associates is looking for a new team member to join us as an experienced Retirement Plan Administrator.

We are a well-established actuarial, consulting and retirement plan administration firm located in Deerfield, IL. We are highly reputable and have been in business for almost 50 years. As we continue our steady growth, we are looking for the right people to join our team.

Ideal Candidate has:

  • At least 4 years of retirement plan administration experience in a TPA environment
  • Working knowledge and experience with Datair software
  • A proven track record of accurately and efficiently performing valuation and trust accounting/asset reconciliation work for retirement plans
  • Strong working knowledge of IRS & DOL regulations, requirements, and filings
  • Ability to analyze plan documents and proactively recommend changes to accommodate client objectives
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent client communication skills
  • Ability to handle duties with confidentiality and extreme professionalism
  • Interest in or experience with traditional defined benefit, cash balance, and combo plans a plus!


Duties will include:

  • Prepare (and/or review, based on experience) plan valuations, including contribution calculations, compliance testing, and trust accounting
  • Manage client relationships for a small book of clients
  • Run complex plan design proposals and estimates
  • Act as a resource for team members on DC topics
