Based in Salt Lake City, UT, United 401(k) Plans, Inc. has been providing 401(k) Third Party Administration services since 2005. Our service oriented team includes professionals with over 20 years of specialized experience in the retirement plan industry. United 401(k) Plans, Inc. operates on a national level and can service any size plan in all 50 states.

From our very beginnings, we have been dedicated to providing the highest quality of service and plan administration possible. What You Will Do

The Client Service Manager position is a client-facing position with an assigned book of business. You will work with internal and external contacts including financial advisors, clients, and others.

Specific tasks include:

  • Provide superior customer service, including problem solving with minimal inconvenience to clients
  • Partner and communicate with plan sponsors and financial advisors on a regular basis
  • Stay current with ERISA laws through self-study and company-sponsored training sessions
  • Administer an assigned book of plans to include reviewing and reconciling plan activity and assets and prepare Form 5500; coordinate with plan sponsor to help ensure timely filing
  • Handle annual compliance testing related to 401(k) plans
  • Have a strong knowledge of reviewing loan & distribution requests  
  • Possess a strong understanding of required participant disclosure notices and related deadlines
  • Be capable of reading and understanding Plan Documents
  • Manage and meet deadlines
  • Manage special projects as assigned
  • Work independently with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe PDFs
  • Work with Relius software systems
  • Work with various recordkeeping platforms

Position Qualifications:

  • QKA Professional designation required, or be willing to obtain within 1 year of employment.
  • 2+ years plan administration experience.
  • Working knowledge of IRS and DOL regulations.
  • Proficient MS Office skills and computer skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Relius plan administration software.
  • Knowledge defined contribution retirement plans.

Compensation range for this position is from $50,000 to $70,000 based upon experience.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong presentation skills.
