Who We Are and What We Do
Compass Retirement Consulting Group is a third-party administrator (TPA) that provides client companies with retirement plan design, administration, actuarial services, and ongoing consulting services to ensure our clients’ plans are in compliance with DOL, ERISA, IRS, and other regulations. Our headquarters are in Stratham, NH, but our clients are nationwide in various industries and sizes. We are passionate about the use of technology and are always looking for more streamlined ways to perform tasks.
What You Will Do
The Sr. Retirement Plan Consultant position will work behind the scenes with an assigned book of business to perform annual testing, asset valuations, calculations, and complete required filings. This will require that you work with Relationship Managers, financial advisors, and CPAs.
Specific tasks include:
- correct errors and late deferrals as needed
- complete excess distribution forms for client and follow-up with client and vendors as necessary to ensure the corrections were made
- review plan documents and service agreements for new clients and upload required information into software.
- calculate employer contributions and true-up contributions accurately and timely
- perform projections, tests, and calculations
- upload vesting information to vendor websites to ensure accuracy
- create plan termination packages and follow through on required steps
- identify RMD eligible participants and mandatory force-out distributions
