KB Pension Services is looking for a Defined Contribution Manager to utilize their technical knowledge and experience to mentor, lead, and train team members in all aspects of the business including but not limited to the annual administration of a caseload including census and asset reconciliation, contribution allocations, non-discrimination testing, valuation reporting, distributions, Form 5500, and communication.

The day to day:

  • Reviews work prepared by staff for technical accuracy, provides feedback, and correction as needed.
  • Contributes to the success of the team by onboarding, training, and upskilling of new hires while providing ongoing mentorship for current team members.
  • Leads trainings focused on knowledge sharing, internal policies and procedures, industry related changes in ERISA, and IRS Code changes.
  • Monitors team productivity, including but not limited to generating and reviewing reports.
  • Partners with clients to proactively resolve escalated matters.
  • Consults and assists with plan design for team plans.
  • Knowledgeable and able to perform general plan accounting and administration including, but not limited to:
    • Calculation of contributions, loan amounts and payments, and distributions.
    • Monitoring of deposits, eligibility, and vesting.
    • Preparation of plan valuation, government forms, and plan documents.

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of comprehensive experience in pension administration and ERISA compliance
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel including regular use of formulas, PivotTables, and VLOOKUPs.
  • Proven reconciliation and trust accounting skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and understand plan documents and investment statements.

Nice to have:

  • Experience using Relius Administration and Pension Pal.
