Position Description

The Regional Sales Consultant is responsible for the distribution of retirement services – including traditional DC/DB TPA services, 3(16) services, pension outsourcing, and full-scope retirement consulting – across all plan size markets in partnership with all channels of financial intermediaries including banks, wire house broker-dealers, regional broker-dealers, registered investment advisors, consultants, Certified Public Accountants, law firms, employee benefit firms, etc. The Regional Sales Consultant works within an assigned territory to meet company objectives as a market leader. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will be domiciled in the assigned territory.

This is a relationship-driven sales position that focuses on developing a network of advisors, consultants, platform wholesalers, DCIO partners, and other retirement -focused professionals. While managing the assigned territory of targeted relationships, Definiti’s RSCs develop and manage their region’s pipeline, maintain an awareness of industry-specific trends and data to analyze challenges, success and opportunities, while also managing their budget. Demonstrated experience in the development of strategic business plans in support of sales growth are strong attributes we are seeking.

The right candidate will become a Definiti advocate, representing the Company and its services at conferences and in business development opportunities. Utilization of CRM platforms, and fostering centers of influence are necessary for success in this role. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the retirement plan industry with proven success in the distribution of retirement-focused administrative and recordkeeping services
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of strategic business plans in support of sales growth.
  • Domain expertise in the retirement services market; understanding of platforms/solutions/distribution & service models, key competitors, and centers of influence
  • Exceptional time management, collaboration in a team environment
  • Some overnight travel required
  • Retirement-specific credentials preferred

Available territories include: Rocky Mountain, Southwest, Plains, Carolinas, Mid-Atlantic, Northern California, New York Metro, New England
